What to Expect at Your First Visit Seattle, WA
After scheduling your first appointment you will receive a follow-up email with a link to fill out electronic new patient paperwork. This paperwork is also available here on our website. It is essential that this paperwork is completed prior to your first visit so that we can be as prepared as possible to serve your needs. If you are unable to fill out the paperwork on your smart phone or computer please arrive at our office 15mins prior to the start of your appointment and the forms can be filled out in our office.
We allow 2 hours for a comprehensive adult new patient appointment at our office. This allows our team to complete a thorough review of your health & dental history, charting of your past dental treatment, x-rays, periodontal charting, an examination with the doctor and an initial cleaning with the hygienist. If future treatment is needed with the doctor or hygienist, we will also have time allotted to review any questions you may have about our recommendations and for our patient care coordinators to get you scheduled and present any necessary treatment plans. We know this is a significant time commitment and we will always work as diligently and efficiently as possible to get you in and out and on your way while maintaining our standard of excellent comprehensive care. If you have records or x-rays from your previous dentist that you would like us to have on file, please contact our patient care coordinators and they will assist you in retrieving those records. Please note that we will not request any x-rays over 2 years old as they are no longer representative of your current dental health.
If your first visit at our office is for a specific urgent need or emergency service, you will be scheduled for a limited exam with the doctor. The same new patient paperwork will need to be completed either prior to your visit or in our office ahead of your appointment time. We will complete a clinical exam and take any pertinent x-rays so that your needs can be assessed, and a plan can be made to solve your dental concerns. We do our best to complete as much same-day emergency treatment as possible.
