Grant Reschenthaler, DMD
Seattle, WA

Grant Reschenthaler, DMD from Queen Anne Family Dental in Seattle, WAI was born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I received a B.S. in Biology from Penn State University and my Dental Degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

After receiving my DMD, I was commissioned into the US Navy as a Dental Officer. In the pursuit of more education, I opted to complete a general practice residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland. My residency had a strong focus on oral surgery, emergency dental medicine, and treating medically compromised patients like Wounded Warriors and Veterans.

From Bethesda, I accepted orders to be the dentist onboard the USS Whidbey Island (LSD-41) home ported in Little Creek Virginia. It was an honor to be the sole provider on a ship caring for the sailors and marines. The two years in Virginia granted me the opportunity to practice all disciplines of dentistry especially emergency care related to pain and infections.

Following Virginia, I completed my commission at Naval Base Kitsap. I received an honorable discharge and separated from the Navy as a Lieutenant. After being introduced to the beauty and culture of the Great Pacific Northwest, Corinne and I decided to establish roots in this remarkable community.

When I'm not taking care of teeth or taking care of my son and daughter, I enjoy swimming, cycling, and skiing. My favorite activity is grabbing an ice-cold IPA after a tough hike in one of our amazing parks. I'm also an avid reader and can't get enough Stephen King, Ken Follett, Malcolm Gladwell, or Michael Pollen.

One of my favorite quotes is “Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care”. I don't think Teddy Roosevelt was referring to dentistry when he said this, but it is something I take to heart and strive to practice every day. As my patient, I care that you understand your diagnosis, I care that you are comfortable during procedures, and I care about the outcome and quality of your treatment. It would be a privilege to let me care for your dental needs.

The Reschenthaler Family

Grant and Corinne met at The University of Pittsburgh during dental school. Grant swears that they sat together during orientation but Corinne does not remember this. Their first date was at Grant's favorite amusement park in Pittsburgh, Kennywood. Two years later, just a few days after graduating from dental school, they got engaged at the very same amusement park.

The Reschenthaler family grew with the addition of their goldendoodle children, Dexter and Lucy. Dexter and Lucy have become Queen Anne Family Dental mascots as they laze the day away in the back office, feel free to come give them a pet or a snuggle if you are a lover of dog kisses!

The Reschenthaler's human children, Evan and Millie, have made their family complete. They are two years apart in age and keep Grant and Corinne busy, sticky and full of a tremendous love.
